Psykofarmaka øger risiko for alzheimer Danske forskere har undersøgt sammenhængen mellem brug af forskellige typer medicin og udvikling af alzheimer demens. De fleste typer medicin medførte ikke signifikant øget forekomst af alzheimer, men enkelte typer medicin medførte en væsentlig større risiko for udvikling af alzheimer. De typer medicin, der medfører størst risiko for alzheimer er antidepressiv medicin og antipsykotisk medicin, der mere end fordobler risikoen for udvikling af alzheimer. Hun har undersøgt sammenhænge mellem kost, psykisk sygdom og alzheimer. I et foredrag forklarer hun, hvordan en kost rig på sunde fedtstoffer kan afhjælpe alzheimer. Her er nogle væsentlige punkter fra hendes foredrag: – Hjernen kan få op til 2/3 af energien fra fedtforbrænding, men har brug for at få mindst 1/3 af energien fra kulhydrater. Hjerneceller vil dø uden glucose. – ADHD, bipolar lidelse og schizofreni er forbundet med insulinresistens (forstadie til type 2 diabetes). Insulinresistens er også en væsentlig årsag til alzheimer. Insulinresistens fremmes bl.a. af mangel på motion og overvægt. – Væsentlige ting man kan gøre for at forebygge alzheimer er fysisk aktivitet (motion), bedre balance mellem omega-3 og omega-6 fedtsyrer (de fleste får alt for meget omega-6 fedtsyre fra billige planteolier mm.) og at begrænse indtag af hurtige kulhydrater (sukker, hvidt mel mm.) Myten om genetik som årsag til psykisk sygdom Den danske læge og forsker Peter C. Gøtzsche udgav i 2022 bogen “Critical psychiatry textbook”. Den handler om de skandaløse behandlinger, der anvendes inden for psykiatrien, og de alvorlige bivirkninger, der er forbundet med disse behandlinger. Bogen er nu online og kan læses her: Critical psychiatry textbook. Blandt de mange afsløringer i bogen er, at påstanden om, at der er genetiske årsager til mange mentale lidelser, ikke har hold i virkeligheden. Enorme ressourcer er blevet brugt på at finde sammenhænge mellem psykiske lidelser og bestemte gener, men der er ikke fundet noget af betydning. Newletter in English Psychiatric medication increases the risk for dementia Danish researchers have investigated the correlation between the use of different types of medication and onset of Alzheimer’s dementia. Most types of medication did not significantly increase the risk of Alzheimer’s, but a few types of medication severely increased the risk. The types of medication, which increased the risk of Alzheimer’s the most were antidepressant medication and antipsychotic medication. Those two types of medication more than doubled the risk of onset of Alzheimer’s. She has researched correlations between diet, mental illness and Alzheimer’s. In a lecture, she explains how a diet rich in healthy fats may alleviate Alzheimer’s. Here are som key points from her lecture: – The brain can optain up to 2/3 of its energy needs from fat, but needs to get at least 1/3 of the energy from carbohydrates. Braincells will die without glucose. – ADHD, bipolar and schizofrenia are related to insulin resistance (precursor for type 2 diabetes). Insulin resistance is also one of the major causes for Alzheimer’s. Some of factors, that may advance insulin resistance are lack of psysical exercise and overweight. – Actions you can take to prevent Alzheimer’s are psysical activity (exercise), better balance between omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids (most people get way to much omega-6 fatty acid from cheap vegetable oils) and to limit the intake of fast carbohydrates (sugar, white flour etc.) Ref.: Georgia Ede: “Preventing Alzheimer May Be Easier Than You Thought” It is a great improvement, that there now are psychiatrists, who treat mental problems and Alzheimer’s with nutritious food instead of harmful psych drugs. The myth about genetics as cause of mental illness In 2022 the Danish physician and researcher Peter C. Gøtzsche published the book “Critical psychiatry textbook”. This book is about the scandalous treatments, that are used in psychiatry, and the serious side effects from those treatments. One of the many revelations in the book is, that the claim that there are genetic causes for mental illnesses is not tenable. Enormous resources have been spent in order to find correlations between mental illnesses and certain genes, but nothing significant has been found.
